Surname

The Surname is generally given under three variations: Cuckow, Cucker or Cooker, in the charts even although there is a variety of spellings in the original documents.

I have retained some of these original spellings in the notes.

Dates

It should be explained that up to 1752 the year began on March 25th. In the charts I have kept the dates as shown in the parish register in case anybody might wish to see the original entry but in the Notes I have sometimes corrected this to the historical year.
