This is the second of four charts that deal with other branches of our family. This chart contnues the story of the descendants of Mary Cuckow, mentioned in the previous chart.

Most of the information on this chart was provided by Grahap Tapp in his publication "A Tappestry of Ancestors"

William CUCKOW (bap 15 Mar 1812 at West Peckham)

He married Harriett Thompson at Wateringbury on 11 Jan 1834. He worked as an agricultural labourer most of his life around East and West Peckham. Harriett Was buried at West Peckham on the 16 May 1880, and William died there in 1898.

Mary Ann CUCKOW (bap 8 Mar 1835 at East Peckham)

Born 9th February 1835 in East Peckham. She gave birth to Sarah Elizabeth when she was only sixteen years old and then to William Cuckoo when she was nineteen.

She married Henry Tapp between 1854 and 1857, she then mothered nine more children.

Harriett CUCKOW (born approx 1857 at East Peckham)

In 1871 she was living with her grandparents at the time of the census, nothing further is known about her.

Eliza CUCKOW (Bap 7 July 1839 at West Peckham)

She had a son by Robert Whitbread of Burham. They baptised him Robert at St. Dunstan's on 28 Nov 1858. I (Graham Tapp) found out from census data for Burham that Eliza had moved to Burham and married Robert Whitbread. They had the following children:-

• Henry J. Whitbread (born 1870) Robert Whitbread (born 1880)

Elizabeth CUCKOW (bap 12 July 1841 at West Peckham)

Buried 18 July 1841 at West Peckham.

John CUCKOW (bap 12 July 1841 at West Peckham)

Buried 25 June 1843 at West Peckham)

Frances CUCKOW (bap 29 Feb 1844 at West Peckham)

Nothing further known.

William CUCKOW (bap 29 Feb 1844 at West Peckham)

Bur 5 Mar 1844 at West Peckham.

George CUCKOW (bap 15 Feb 1846 at West Peckham)

He married a girl called Jane Elizabeth ?. They had six children:

• Mary Ann Cuckow, bap 13 Oct 1867 at Birling.
• Harriet Cuckow, bap 13 June 1869 at West Peckham. Jane Elizabeth Cuckow, born 1871 at West Peckham. (Not shown on chart through error)
• Margaret Charlotte Cuckow, born 1874 at West Peckham
• Eliza Cuckow, born 1876 at West Peckham
• Fanny L Cuckow, born 1878 at Hadlow.
• George died18 Nov 1883 an Jane Elizabeth on the 30 Aug 1907 - they are commemmorated on a tombstone at West Peckham.

Henry John Cuckow (bap 15 Mar 1851 at West Peckham)

Buried 27 Apr 1851 at West Peckham

James Thomas Cuckow (bap 9 May 1852 at West Peckham)

He married a girl named Elizabeth, and they were living at Otford in the 1881 census Together with their little daughter.

Stephen Cuckow (bap 11 Mar 1855 at West Peckham)

He moved to Southfleet where he married a girl called Alice and raised a family. Carol Cause who lives at Ryarsh is descended from him.

Charles Cuckow (bap 1 Mar 1857 at West Peckham)

He was staying with his brother at Otford in the 1881 census.
